Tristan ThompsonC, Cleveland CavaliersYahoo's Chris Haynes is reporting that Tristan Thompson is being made available on the trade market.
No surprise here, as the Cavs seem unlikely to re-sign the veteran and he could provide a big lift as a rebounder and defensive presence for teams with deep playoff aspirations. A move to such a team would almost guarantee a decrease in role (and fantasy value), but he's also a major shutdown candidate if he stays in Cleveland. In the final season of a five-year, $82 million pact, Thompson's play and expiring contract should make him a popular guy in the coming days.
