Kyrie Irving (right shoulder impingement) finally returned to the court on Sunday and looked great, roasting the Hawks for 21 points on 10-of-11 shooting in just 20 minutes of action.
Irving missed the last 26 games so we'd expect to see more minutes restrictions for the foreseeable future. He added four rebounds, three assists, a steal and a 3-pointer tonight and he's safe to get back into lineups as long as you're not expecting Kyrie to get back to first-round output. Spencer Dinwiddie started next to Irving in this game and had seven points, four rebounds in eight assists in 25 minutes while Caris LeVert had 13 points and three steals in 22 minutes off the bench. Those two are the most likely to be affected by Irving's return but we'll draw more serious conclusions from a game that isn't a blowout — Brooklyn won by 22.
