Jimmy Butler knew he needed to step up in a big way if the Heat were going to win Game 3 on Sunday, and that he did, producing a 40-point triple-double on 14-of-20 shooting from the field and 12-of-14 shooting from the line.
Butler was a true leader for the Heat, making sure that everything that needed to get done, got done. He added 11 rebounds, 13 assists, two steals and two blocks for an overall well-rounded performance. Beyond the box-score impact, Butler provided an aura of aggressiveness and confidence that set the context for the win and became it’s catalyst in the end.
