Kira Lewis Jr.G, CollegeUniversity of Alabama sophomore point guard Kira Lewis Jr., an Alabama native who stands at 6-foot-3 and weighs 165 pounds, has decided to hire an agent on Tuesday, according to Shams Charania of the Athletic. Lewis Jr. had declared for the 2020 NBA draft last month.
Lewis Jr. was one of the most effective transition players in the college ranks this past season, averaging 5.1 points per game in transition. He ranked fourth in the NCAA in that category. That bodes well for his NBA outlook and his stock has risen since his original declaration for the draft. Quality point guard depth is highly sought after in today's NBA and the league moves at a faster pace with each changing season. Lewis Jr. may not be on the board past the first round come June.
