Fred VanVleetPG, Toronto RaptorsThe Raptors are still believed to be the frontrunners for Fred VanVleet, per TSN's Josh Lewenberg.
VanVleet will reportedly take his time and listen to pitches throughout tonight and possibly tomorrow, and it's no surprise that he'll take time with such a big decision. Toronto is widely expected to retain FVV, who could be taking the torch from Kyle Lowry within the next year or two, but the Raptors may not end up being the highest bidder. The Knicks stand out as the biggest competition and VanVleet will ultimately have to weigh whether the extra money is worth leaving the environment in Toronto that has helped him become an NBA success. He certainly deserves whatever raise is headed his way no matter who's signing the checks.
