According to a report, the Sixers will hire Sam Cassell as an assistant coach.

Cassell had interviewed for the Clippers' head coaching job before Ty Lue was hired. Cassell will join Doc Rivers on the Sixers after working with him during his tenure with the Clippers. He has also served as an assistant with the Wizards.
