• PJ Tucker
    SF, Houston Rockets

In a deep dive on the Rockets' apparent culture issues over at The Athletic, it's been reported that PJ Tucker is "irate" about his contract situation.

Tucker has been a vital part of Houston's small-ball attack and is almost certainly underpaid given the deals that 3-and-D forwards have received around the league. The Rockets' scheme simply wouldn't work without Tucker, and he reportedly feels insulted by the organization dragging its feet when it comes to a contract extension. Houston's last season was described as a "mess" and Eric Gordon, Danuel House and Austin Rivers were also named as players who weren't overly thrilled with how things went down. Russell Westbrook's recent trade request stems from a disconnect with the team's culture and his role, so the Rockets appear to have a whole lot to figure out this offseason. The new brain trust may be pivoting away from Daryl Morey's vision, and given Tucker's apparent discontent the Rockets may entertain moving him to rebalance the roster with some traditional frontcourt players. That's just speculation but it looks like we'll see another roster overhaul for in Houston.
