Marcus SmartPG, Boston CelticsMarcus Smart was sublime in the Celtics' Game 1 loss to the Heat in the Eastern Conference Finals on Tuesday, finishing with 26 points (9-of-18 FG), three rebounds and one assist.
Smart was a key cog for the Celtics once again on Tuesday but they weren't able to get it done as Jimmy Butler put the nail in the coffin in the waning seconds of overtime. All four of the Celtics' top active scorers put up 17-plus points, the first time that has happened in a losing effort in some time. Smart was extremely efficient from deep, going 6-of-13 on 3-pointers. The Celtics will try to even the series on Thursday in Game 2.
