Marcus Smart (illness) stuffed the stat sheet with 14 points (5-of-15 FGs), six rebounds, 10 assists, two steals, two blocks and four 3-pointers in 36 minutes in a 120-129 overtime loss to the Nets on Tuesday.
Smart, who fouled out near the start of overtime in this one, has been on a roll for a while now, putting up top-40 value for the last month. Kemba Walker (left knee soreness) returned from a five-game absence, though he was on a minutes limit, but Jayson Tatum was out for this game, allowing Smart to remain a larger part of the offense than when the Celtics are at full strength. Smart should definitely still be held, but expect his production to dip a bit once Walker and Tatum are at full strength.
