Kentavious Caldwell-PopeSG, Los Angeles LakersKentavious Caldwell-Pope was one of the few Lakers' supporting cast members to show up on Thursday, scoring 16 points with four 3-pointers in just 22 minutes.
Caldwell-Pope went 5-of-8 from the field as the Lakers mercifully started hitting some of their threes. After a 5-for-32 performance in Game 1, L.A. went 14-for-38 on the long ball tonight. Anthony Davis and the team's defense did the heavy lifting but some of these secondary contributors have to start knocking down shots so the Lakers offense can operate in the half-court. Danny Green continued to struggle with three points on 1-of-6 shooting, though he did add four steals. Kyle Kuzma had seven points on 2-of-6 shooting in 21 minutes off the bench. J.R. Smith got loose for 11 points, three triples and four turnovers on 4-for-12 shooting in 22 minutes, though he did play throughout garbage time in a blowout win.
