• Jimmy Butler
    SG, Miami Heat

Jimmy Butler muscled his way to a Game 1 overtime victory over the Celtics in the Eastern Conference Finals on Tuesday, posting 20 points (7-for-14 FG), five rebounds, five assists and two steals.

Butler converted an improbable, flailing layup over Jayson Tatum (and was fouled) in the waning seconds of overtime to secure the win. He knocked down the subsequent foul shot as well. The Heat look like a team on a mission and have only lost one game in the playoffs so far, a meaningless Game 4 loss to the Bucks in the previous round. They will look to jump out to a commanding 2-0 series advantage on Thursday in Game 2. Butler is the unquestioned leader of the group and has found a great source of motivation in being a member of the Heat under head coach Erik Spoelstra.
