De'Anthony Melton was given 26 minutes on Tuesday and he turned in a solid performance, scoring 12 points on 4-of-9 shooting with six rebounds, four assists, one block and one 3-pointer as the Grizzlies beat the Rockets.
Jae Crowder (right hip soreness) missing this game allowed for a few extra Melton minutes, and he performed well. It's not quite the breakout game that has many drooling in anticipation. He's a player to own, but Melton has a lot of other young competition capping his production this season. Dillon Brooks, for example, may not be losing his role anytime soon with performances like he had tonight: 24 points, four rebounds, three assists, one steal, two blocks and six big 3-pointers.
