Justin PattonC, Los Angeles ClippersThe Clippers will waive recently-acquired center Justin Patton, according to a team press release (on Twitter).
Patton was acquired in the three-team trade with the Nets and Pistons that involved guards Luke Kennard and Landry Shamet swapping teams. The draft rights to JUCO product Jay Scrubb, the 55th selection, were also sent to the Clippers as part of the deal. The Clippers are looking to shed cap space and a roster position in the wake of their new free agent addition, Serge Ibaka, and the new contracts reached with Marcus Morris Sr. and Patrick Patterson. The Lakers have seemingly done more to improve their roster than any team in the NBA, not to mention the Western Conference, both of which they are the reigning champs.
