49ers (-360) @ Cardinals (+8): O/U 43.5
Although we have another division rivalry being featured on Monday Night Football, it is unlikely to see a crazy upset like we saw last week when the Commanders handed the Eagles their first loss of the year. The 49ers (5-4) are heavy favorites on the road, but with their bundles of talent on both sides of the ball, this shouldn’t come as a surprise. The Cardinals (4-6) will potentially be without Kyler Murray and DeAndre Hopkins on Monday, as both players are listed as questionable, but are expected to play. They also just lost Zach Ertz for the season, being placed on IR this week. There is some good news for the Cardinals though, as there is a chance to see Marquise Brown returning from IR this week. With a bunch of great fantasy options on both sides of the ball, fantasy GMs will be hopeful their studs are able to have big games and pull off a comeback in their fantasy matchups!
49ers
QB
Jimmy Garoppolo:
Jimmy G. has played a good management style of football over the past few weeks. He is not doing anything spectacular, but the 49ers are winning games. He is a borderline starting option for fantasy GMs this week, with four teams on bye, but is more valuable in superflex leagues. Garoppolo has only cracked 300 yards once this year and has yet to throw three touchdowns in a game, so he is more of a safer option than a high-ceiling play in standard formats. The Cardinals have allowed the seventh-most fantasy points to opposing QBs this week, so he is worth a look in all leagues if fantasy GMs have their starter on bye.
RB
Christian McCaffrey & Elijah Mitchell:
McCaffrey is the obvious preferred fantasy play of the two, but both should have a high level of involvement in this game. Last week against the Chargers, both backs saw 20 opportunities each in the win, but it was McCaffrey that played 65% of the snaps in comparison to Mitchell’s 35%. CMC has the potential to finish each week as the overall RB1, while Mitchell is in the low-end RB2 range.
