Week 5 SNF Fantasy Preview

  • Bengals (+3.5) @ Ravens (-175); Total of 47.5

The Ravens come into this contest with an injury-concern in their wide receiver room as Rashod Bateman has been ruled out with his foot injury. However, LT Ronnie Stanley could finally be making his way back from a long-term ankle injury but we’ll probably have to wait until Sunday for official word on his status. On the Bengals side of things, the offensive line has finally come together after some really horrendous play over the first two weeks of the season. Tee Higgins has a questionable tag going into the weekend, but his head coach made it seem like he was on the probable side of that tag with his comments about limiting the receiver so he’d be good to go over the weekend.

But be assured, after a horrendous TNF contest that featured zero touchdowns from two struggling offenses in nearly 70 minutes of action, we’ll get a much better contest between two very exciting teams with two of the top young quarterbacks in the league.

    Bengals

    QB

After being outside of the top-12 over the first two weeks of the season when the offensive line looked like they couldn’t protect anyone, Joe Burrow has been given more protection in the pocket and that has allowed him to enter the QB1 tier over Weeks 3 (QB5) and 4 (QB10). The Ravens secondary has shown to be quite vulnerable over the first four weeks of the season and Burrow has the passing threats to be a locked in QB1 option this week. Start him with confidence and he should get an additional vote of confidence if Higgins is able to play through his nagging injury.
