Week 13 Defenses to Start/Sit/Stream

  • “Start” These are going to be D/STs that are rostered that you shouldn’t think twice about starting.

“Sit” These are going to be the D/STs that need to be benched until next week’s evaluation.

“Stream” These are going to be the D/STs that are sitting on your waiver wire begging to be picked up.

    Start

Houston Texans defensive end Jonathan Greenard (52) celebrates after sacking Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Kenny Pickett during the second half an NFL football game Sunday, Oct. 1, 2023, in Houston.

Houston Texans (D/ST23) vs. Denver Broncos

New York Jets (D/ST18) vs. Atlanta Falcons

The Texans have been one of the better stories as they have emerged as one of the best teams in the league. A tough loss to Jacksonville is something that is going to a motivate this team to beat this Broncos team that is on a nice little run themselves. The Texans give up the 9th most points to QBs, 16th to RBs, 19th to WRs, 3rd to TEs.

The Jets want to put Rodgers in the best situation possible, they’re going to have to get rolling here against this weird Falcons team. I expect a great outing from this defensive front as the Falcons offense is some of the most dysfunctional. The Jets give up the 25th most points to QBs, 6th most to RBs, 32nd most to WRs, and 16th most to TEs.

    Sit

Philadelphia Eagles (D/ST12) vs. San Fransisco 49ers

Miami Dolphins (D/ST7) @ Washington Commanders

Not liking the start on either end because of both of these offenses are explosive. The downfall is that both of these offenses know how to play with a slow pace. A slow paced game could favor these defenses but I don’t like the odds of either of these teams scoring less than 21 points.

    Upset alert.
