Big playoff picture implications here as the Bucs and Colts are both hopeful they can be in the hunt in a month. Securing wins needs to happen right now, not one or two weeks from now, so this should be a competitive football game with plenty of energy from both sides. The Bucs have righted the ship of late and the Colts are starting to look like a legitimate ball club, so this game will serve as quite the measuring stick for both squads.

    Main Storylines to Watch

Protect the Baker: The offensive line in Tampa Bay has been stellar all season and it’s no wonder as this line had been assembled to protect the most prized asset in football for the past few seasons: Tom Brady. Brady is gone, but the line remains and they’ve done a good job giving Mayfield room to operate. They’ve started to slip in the past few weeks though, and it will be curious to see if they can be an elite line this week or not. There’s plenty of weapons for the Bucs to make some noise down the stretch of this NFL season.

Gettin’ Hot: The Colts have won three of their last five and they’re still in the hunt to get some playoff experience, even with promising rookie Anthony Richardson on the sidelines. Gardner Minshew has been a serviceable replacement, as we’ve all imagined he would be, and Jonathan Taylor has returned to put up borderline RB1 numbers. Zack Moss still inexplicably has big games and Michael Pittman Jr. continues to showcase why he should be seen as an elite receiver in the NFL. Adding Richardson to this squad could be very scary if he figures it all out, but for now the goal should remain to play the best football they can manage.
