• There are some great matchups in the later games today. Zac Gallen will take the mound, at home, in what should be an interesting challenge for him vs. the Braves. Fernando Tatis Jr. hit two home runs last night and will look to continue his hot hitting against Marcus Stroman. In the Sunday night game, the Yankees and Dodgers will conclude their three game series. Yesterday, Aaron Judge robbed a base hit from J.D. Martinez by barreling through an outfield fence and could potentially rob Shohei Ohtani of another MVP.

This is for the 6/4 1:05 PM PST slate. As always, make sure to check lineups before first pitch.

    Writer’s record

    24-16-1

Chicago Cubs ML (-110) @ San Diego Padres

Marcus Stroman has been Chicago’s ace this season and he pitched a one hit shutout in his last start. The Padres are starting Ryan Weathers, so that gives the Cubs a big edge in the starting pitcher matchup.

New York Yankees @ Los Angeles Dodgers u9.0 runs (-110)

It’ll be Domingo German vs. Bobby Miller in Sunday Night Baseball tonight. This should be a bit of a coming out party for Bobby Miller. German, sticky stuff aside, has been pretty good this year. In his lone start since coming back from suspension, German went into the 7th inning in a game the Yankees cruised in.

    DFS Pillar Plays

    Tyler Wells

    Position: P

    Salary: $7,900

Tyler Wells has been solid this year. In each of his last four starts, he’s gotten seven or more strikeouts. Wells has gone at least five innings in every start this season. Over the last 15 days, the Giants have struck out more than any other team besides Minnesota.

    Ronald Acuña Jr.

    Position: OF

    Salary: $6,400

It had been a few weeks since Acuña hit a home run. He broke that cold streak in a big way with a 464 foot bomb on Saturday. The NL MVP favorite has 24 stolen bases on the season and is batting .325.

    Adley Rutschman

    Position: C

    Salary: $5,400

With only three games in this slate, it’s worth going with the big money catcher in Adley Rutschman. He’s easily the most talented catcher on the board and with the matchup against Anthony DeSclafani, he’s in the most favorable situation. Travis d’Arnaud will be going opposite Zac Gallen, in Arizona, so Rutschman is the preferable play.

    DFS Value Plays (<$3000 Salary)

    Aaron Hicks

    Position: OF

    Salary: $2,500

The new Orioles center fielder made a home run robbing catch on Saturday. He had a long flyout that would’ve been a home run in 16 other ballparks. At this price, he’s worth a play in an Orioles stack.

    Emmanuel Rivera

    Position: 3B

    Salary: $2,800

Emmanuel Rivera has gotten a hit in seven out of his last eight games. Four of those games have been mult-hit. Michael Soroka will be starting for the Braves, and he struggled in his return start on Monday. Soroka allowed four runs to the Athletics and only struck out three batters his last time out.

    Eddie Rosario

    Position: OF

    Salary: $2,900

Rosario hit two home runs in the first game of this series. On Saturday, he had a triple and a single. He is currently on a five game hit streak. Rosario hits fifth in this Braves lineup but is priced cheaper than Marcell Ozuna and Michael Harris, who hit below him. While Zac Gallen is pitching for the Diamondbacks, he hasn’t been as untouchable as he was early in the season.
