• The Yankees and Red Sox add another game to their storied rivalry in Sunday Night Baseball tonight. This matchup lacks some of the starpower that previous iterations boasted, and the pitching matchup is indicative of where these two franchises are. It’ll be Clarke Schmidt going against Brayan Bello tonight. Aaron Judge is still out, and Willie Calhoun was just reported to be in some discomfort after getting hit by Carlos Rodon in batting practice before the game. Giancarlo Stanton will not be in the starting lineup tonight either.

This is for the 6/11 4:10 PM PST Showdown Captain Mode.

    DFS Pillar Plays

    Brayan Bello

    Position: P

    Salary: Captain ($16,200)/Util ($10,800)

I’ll be playing Brayan Bello over Clarke Schmidt in my lineup. Schmidt had a rough showing in his last start, only getting one strikeout against the White Sox. Bello has been pretty decent and has a 9.13 K/9 this year. Without Aaron Judge, this Yankees lineup performs very differently. Of the two pitchers, Bello edges out the Yankees starter.

    Rafael Devers

    Position: 3B

    Salary: Captain ($13,800)/Util ($9,200)

Before this series started, Rafael Devers hadn’t hit a home run since May 19. He has two home runs in the two games they’ve played in New York with a double as well. The short porch in right could help him as a left-handed hitter. He is currently +350 to hit a home run, the shortest odds of anyone on the board.

    Adam Duvall

    Position: OF

    Salary: Captain ($12,600)/Util ($8,400)

Adam Duvall got his first hit in two months on Saturday and stole a base on top of that. Before he got injured, he was having an explosive start to the season. Maybe Duvall will be able to provide some of the top-line production that Boston has been missing, starting tonight against the bottom end of the Yankees’ rotation.

    DFS Value Plays (<$5000 Salary)

    Triston Casas

    Position: 1B

    Salary: Captain ($7,500)/Util ($5,000)

The sophomore first baseman for the Red Sox is another left-handed hitter in this lineup. He homered in Yankee Stadium off of Clarke Schmidt last year. Casas is part of the youth movement Boston is trying to sell their fans. He has 10 hits over the last two weeks with four of those going for extra bases.

    Jake Bauers

    Position: 1B/OF

    Salary: Captain ($6,300)/Util ($4,200)

Bauers has been a little bit better at home than he has been on the road. His OPS at home is .901 and his batting average is .289, while it’s only .175 on the road. The bottom half of this New York lineup isn’t that threatening, but Bauers has shown some pop and given that he hits left-handed and is hitting in the 5 spot, he’ll be in my lineup tonight.

    Position Player Name Salary
    Captain Adam Duvall $12,600
    Util Brayan Bello $10,800
    Util Jake Bauers $4,200
    Util Rafael Devers $9,200
    Util
    Util
    REMAINING BUDGET $13,200 for 2 players. Avg Rem/Player $6,600
