  • Final Score: Seahawks 16 @ Buccaneers 21 (Buccaneers covered -3, U44.5)

    Key Postgame Storylines

The Seahawks came up short in Germany against Tom Brady and the Bucs despite a comeback effort. Seattle’s quarterback Geno Smith threw for 275 yards and two touchdowns with 22 yards rushing and a fumble lost making him a viable quarterback if you got him in your lineup. Kenneth Walker lll didn’t fair so well on the ground rushing for just 17 yards but he helped those in PPR leagues, catching six passes for 55 yards with no touchdowns. Smith’s receivers had an average day for them with D.K. Metcalf catching six passes for 71 while Tyler Lockett caught three passes for 43 and a touchdown. Smith, Walker, Metcalf, and Lockett will all remain in our lineups when Seattle takes on the Raiders in Week 11.

The Tampa Bay run game was the focal point as rookie Rachaad White made his first start for the Buccaneers this season. He out-carried Leonard Fournette 22 to 14 although Fournette got the touchdown and will be a must-add in leagues he isn’t yet rostered in. Tom Brady had one of his better games this season throwing for 258 yards and two touchdowns with an interception with one of those touchdown passes going to Chris Godwin (his first of the season). Julio Jones scored the other touchdown on a nice crosser route while Mike Evans had one of his floor games just catching five passes for 54 yards. The Bucs go on bye next week and will look to get healthier against the Browns in Week 12.

    Top Performers

QB Geno Smith: Smith wasn’t too sharp in this game until the second quarter in comeback mode but still finished with a reasonable fantasy line passing for 275 passing yards and two touchdowns. This kind of line has been a staple for Geno who has been a viable starter all year for us. He is on bye next week, however.

WR Chris Godwin: Godwin finally got the touchdown we have been waiting for and was Brady’s top target catching six of eight targets for 71 yards. After their bye, Godwin looks poised for a big rest of season.

RB Rachaad White: White got the start and ran very well gaining 105 rushing yards on 22 carries. Fournette had visa issues and had to arrive to the game late so that may have contributed but going forward White must be rostered in all leagues.

    Biggest Busts

RB Kenneth Walker lll: Walker had a tough time running against the Bucs run defense as he could only muster 17 yards on 10 carries. He did, however, catch six passes for 55 yards saving the day if you played in a PPR league. We can move past this one as Walker has been outstanding and expect better games against weaker defenses.

WR Mike Evans: Evans didn’t wow us in this one as Julio was more involved in the passing game and the Bucs made it their focus to run the ball. After the bye, Evans should be inserted back in lineups and expect this game to be his floor.
