Not a fantastic showing from me the past few days, but we trudge on and it’s not all bad. We had some good calls, some bad. That’s the way it goes. Remember, it’s a marathon, not a sprint.

My bad read on the Lakers yesterday cost me in more ways than one, but here I had the scoring reversed. I can’t believe LeBron James is still doing this at nearly 40 years of age. That’s absolutely wild.

I’m skipping Thrive today as they don’t have any lines I like in the Pick Em lobby (which usually means they’re good) and their tournament plays are being buggy. Hopefully we can restart those next slate.

Aaron Nesmith O14.5 PRA

The last time these teams faced off, we saw Nesmith get plenty of run as the primary defender on Giannis. We should see that again here.

Joel Embiid O33.5 pts

Give me every piece of Joel Embiid against the likely starter, James Wiseman. And when Wiseman is out of the lineup? I just don’t see how they can hope to contain Embiid and the only thing that’s going to derail this is an early blowout, which is definitely possible. I’ll be rooting for the Pistons to keep it close.

CJ McCollum O19.5 pts

I’m grabbing this as it should be ticking up regardless of Zion Williamson’s status. We also have a good chance Zion sits though, as the Pelicans should be able to make quick work of the terrible Wizards.

Fred VanVleet O17.5 pts

We have him projected for around 21 and the Grizzlies have been terrible defending anyone. We just need him to be engaged on offense.

Clint Capela O0.5 double-doubles

We have the points prop set at 12.5 and the rebounds set at 11.5 and both are juiced on the over. I like for him to get at least 10 & 10 against a Raptors squad that struggles against the center position.
