I woke up extra early to hit the lab today, and hopefully we’re able to strike the payload on this five-game slate of Tuesday NBA action!

My rookie year of sharing picks has not been kind to me as of late, as we walk away mere points away from a sweep once again, as we finished 1-2 after yesterday’s games. Fontecchio set the tone in a bad way, hitting just 1-of-5 shots in his first quarter action, while also being subbed out with two mins left in the first, contrary to playing the full first quarter as he did the previous two contests. I touted De’Aaron Fox’s shooting prowess on the road, and shot 1-4 from deep and 6-10 from the line. If Fox hits some free throws or one more three-pointer, we would’ve cashed, but sadly, that wasn’t the case. At least, Devin Vassell came through with a well-rounded performance in the loss vs. the Wizards, finishing with 24 points, five rebounds and four assists and saving us from what was nearly our first shutout.

We were pretty close here, but the Brook Lopez and Daniel Gafford plays were reversed. Gafford held his own against Victor Wembanyama, even though he was hilariously blocked like I would block my four-year-old. I’m off of Lopez’s rebounds as it appears he is tasked with standing on the perimeter to stretch the opposing big too often. Perhaps we can put this in our back pocket though and see if this happens the next time they meet Nikola Jokic.
