    Isaiah Likely, Ravens

The preseason darling Likely (and popular meme inspiration) has a potentially huge opportunity ahead of him after justifying some of the earlier hype with a 6-77-1 breakout game in Week 8 after Mark Andrews left with a shoulder injury and didn’t return. On top of that, it was announced Thursday that Rashod Bateman will unfortunately undergo season-ending foot surgery. Devin Duvernay, who has played 56% of his season-to-date snaps out wide (which represents 88% of Bateman’s snaps), will probably increase that share even more now in Bateman’s absence and should free up considerable slot work (that comprised nearly a quarter of his snaps) for Likely (52% slot snap share). James Proche is technically the de facto slot receiver, but Likely has shown way more in terms of results. Even when Andrews returns, Harbaugh’s tight end rooms have historically not been shy about multiple elite options (ie. Hayden Hurst and Mark Andrews from same draft class) and multiple reports have suggested OC Greg Roman will dabble in more 12-personnel at that time. While the Ravens will obviously still lean run-heavy, a good comparison for Likely’s rest-of-season fantasy outlook could be Jonnu Smith’s 2020 season in Tennessee (finished as TE10 in half-PPR).
