Fantasy Basketball Draft Guide 2026: Roto Mock Draft: 12-Team, 9-Cat

A mock draft is most useful when we disagree with it. The goal is not to make every selection line up neatly with our projections. It is to find the points where a room is paying for reputation, upside or category scarcity, and the spots where the numbers suggest a player has slipped too far. Roto makes those disagreements especially important because a bad percentage, too many turnovers or a month of missed games cannot simply be punted away for a week.
For this exercise, we are drafting a 12-team, nine-category Roto league with 13-player rosters. The categories are FG%, FT%, 3PM, PTS, REB, AST, STL, BLK and TO. I will use our internal projections as a reference point without publishing the actual ranks. Some picks will look aggressive, some will look conservative, and a few are the kind of values I would be very happy to take in a real draft. That is the point. A useful mock should tell us where the pressure points are, not just describe the order in which names came off the board.
