Court is back in session! Today we will be hearing the many cases of Dynasty Market Perception vs. Dynasty Value. As the trade deadline approaches, various trade rumors, Shams reports, and statistical insights have been submitted into evidence for review. Here at Trade Deadline Court, my goal is to decipher not just what is real but what actions dynasty managers should conduct with the information at hand.

In this court, I don’t give out typical verdicts. Each individual case will be presented and detailed, with a subsequent review and ruling determining if the case is a buy, hold, or sell. All factors will be considered, from the vague concepts of how the player is currently perceived to the simple matter of what the player actually produces on the court of basketball. This court will be sure to detail the explanations for all verdicts.

All rulings are final and with a one-man jury of yours truly! This court isn’t a democracy (but of course it is always open to appeals and will listen in a reasonable manner).

Anthony Davis

As the main return for Luka Doncic at this time last season, surely Anthony Davis has plenty of trade value across the league! Surely it means Davis is a highly impactful player still!

Alas, Davis has been a roller coaster ride this season, one that seemingly has no “Get Off” button. With the Mavs unwilling to give him an extension, Davis and his agency are pushing for a trade somewhere that will give him that lucrative extension. That’s all good and great for Davis himself – but what are the fantasy implications?
