Fantasy Football 2025 Week 6 Recap & Predictions | Mostradamus Review

  • Every week I will do a quick drive thru of the all the games and cover the relevant fantasy points.  I will look at things that might be fluky or here to stay and try and point everyone in the right direction for the future.  We never want to overreact to a small-sample size, but sometimes getting in too early is still better than missing the boat entirely.

    Giants 34 – Eagles – 17

This was a massive upset as the Giants led by Cam Skattebo (19/98/3) and Jaxson Dart (195/1/0) dealt a massive blow to the Eagles.  Who knows how long these will be able to stay on the field, but for now the Giants have life on offense.  Skattebo is the clear RB1 as Tyrone Tracy (4/6/0) isn’t getting his job back.  Wan’Dale Robinson (6/84/1) was great and looks to hold his value as his role as expanded down field instead of just the line of scrimmage.  Theo Johnson (2/17/0) was a bit of a disappointment this week, after finishing his last two games with three total TDs, but the Eagles are great at defending TEs, so he remains a solid “Dart” throw each week. Jalen Hurts (283/1/1) was great as the Eagles were in a negative game-script and he’s really the only Eagle you can trust, which is crazy.  Saquon Barkley (12/58/0) is looking like a bust and that was the most predictable outcome after last season’s insane workload.  I take back my previous statement, Dallas Goedert is dominating TEs in fantasy. He blew up for another big week, posting 110+ yards on nine receptions plus a score.  DeVonta Smith (4/49/0) and A.J. Brown (6/80/0) are still elite talents, but there is no trust week-to-week and I don’t think anyone else is willing to pay anything close to what they cost you on draft day.

    Pickup of the game: None

    Broncos 13 – Jets – 11

This game was overseas and early and thank god because it was terrible.  Justin Fields had one of the worst games a QB has ever had and while he’s not a drop, you can’t start him in 1QB leagues.  When he fails, the offense falls apart as Garrett Wilson had three grabs for 13 yards and got hurt.  Hopefully, he doesn’t have to miss time.  Breece Hall had 22 carries which is great, but he did nothing with them for 59 yards and no scores and no receptions.  There is a change coming for the Jets, but who knows who will take the fall.  Hall getting traded is the best bet and that can only enhance his fantasy value.  DEN got the win, but no one had a good game as Bo Nix only threw for 174 yards with a score and J.K. Dobbins, who had been as reliable as ever this season only had 40 yards on 14 carries.  This game was ugly and if you started anyone, you were disappointed.

Pickup of the game – none

    Steelers 23 – Browns 9

This was an old-school AFC North slugfest and the Browns continue to be a fantasy slog.  Quinshon Judkins is the only real weapon here and he was finally held in check with 36 yards on 12 carries.  When a team doesn’t score a TD, it’s hard to have a good fantasy day and while Dillon Gabriel threw the ball 52 times, he didn’t do much with it with 223 yards.  Harold Fannin was solid with seven grabs for 81 yards and could see a role increase if David Njoku has to miss time.  Jerry Jeudy is close to a drop with five for 43 and he’s not just going to get back to last years breakout.  The Steelers aren’t much better, but they were in a tough matchup.  Aaron Rodgers still has gas as he 235 yards and two TDs.  Jaylen Warren was back to starting and he was fine with 11 for 52 plus two grabs for 11 more yards.  Kenneth Gainwell is back to backup status and only saw six carries for 22 yards, but he’s an elite stash as Warren is a paragon of health and Gainwell handled most of the passing work with six grabs for 14 yards.  DK Metcalf is going to boom or bust every week because the volume isn’t elite, but this was a boom day as he went for 95 yards on five grabs with a score.  Both these teams are fantasy stayaways as they struggle to score or get explosive plays.

Pickup of the game – RB – Kenneth Gainwell – Priority Medium

    Chargers 29 – Dolphins 27

The Chargers can’t be stopped and despite being without Omarion Hampton and Quentin Johnston, the chains move and the TDs pile up.  I thought Hassan Haskins would takeover as the RB1, but it was Kimani Vidal this week with 124 yards on the ground plus a score on three receptions for 14 yards.  Make sure he’s not floating on the wire.  Haskins only had 14 rushing yards and it looks like it’s Vidal’s backfield, for now.  Justin Herbert went 29/38 and threw for 264 yards with two passing TDs and this offense runs through him now and forever.  Keenan Allen has fallen off which was predictable as he only went for (4/27/0), but it was Ladd McConkey who rightfully retook his mantle as a WR1 with Ladd McConkey (7/100/1).  He’s officially back so congrats if you bought low or held on.  Oronde Gadsden saw eight targets and he’s growing in his role which will stay expanded if Johnston has to miss more time.  He’s mostly just a stash for now, but with this offense being pass-first even the WR3 deserves consideration.   The Dolphins are spinning out as Tua Tagovailoa had three INTs compared to only one TD.  You can’t start him and have to wonder how long he will be starting in MIA.  Jaylen Waddle is a clear WR1 (6/95/0) and all he needs is TDs to become a top-15 option each week.  De’Von Achane carried the Dolphins in Week 6 with 128 yards and 2 TDs on 16 carries and he is among the most reliable weapons at RB this season.  Hopefully he can stay on the field.  Speaking of consistent, Darren Waller keeps scoring and while he’s not getting much volume, TDs are king and he scored again on only two receptions.

Pickup of the game – RB – Kimani Vidal – Priority High

    Patriots 25 -Saints 19

Drake Maye is here to stay and he’s making a case for the QB1 this season.  He threw for 261 passing yards with three passing TDs and led the team with 28 rushing yards and until the running game gets sorted, Maye is going to be doing it all. Kahson Boutte is trick or treat and it was all treat vs. NO as he had five receptions, 93 yards, and 2 TDs.  Stefon Diggs took a backseat with three for 28 and it was DeMario Douglas who got loose with a big score of 53 yards.  Rhamondre Stevenson (13/18/0) and TreVeyon Henderson (9/27/0) were both terrible and it’s only a matter of time before Henderson takes over as Stevenson has no explosiveness.  Spencer Rattler completed 20/26 passing with 227 pass yards, but no scores as this Saints offense plays fast to nowhere.  Alvin Kamara (15/76/0) was solid but Kendre Miller might actually be better than him even though he only went for 21 yards on eight carries.  Taysom Hill got a vulture TD and Rashid Shaheed did nothing while Chris Olave continued his redemption tour.  Olave went for 98 yards on six grabs and actually got loose downfield for a 53 yard scamper.  Olave is a solid play each week, but he’s got no ceiling since he can’t seem to score TDs.

Pickup of the game – TE – Taysom Hill – Priority Med since he could end up playing QB

    Rams 17 –  Ravens 3

This had shootout written all over it and instead Puka Nacua got hurt and the Ravens offense fell off a cliff.  The good news before the BAL bye week is Derrick Henry got cooking with 122 yards on 24 carries, so the panic can subside for at least a couple of weeks.  The Ravens needs Lamar Jackson back if they have any chance of saving thier season as Cooper Rush was so bad he got benched for Tyler Huntley.  Zay Flowers did what he could with six grabs for 46 yards and he’s held his value with Jackson, but without TDs, what’s the point.  Mark Andrews had four grabs and Isaiah Likely had two and I expect Likely to take over after the bye week.  Make sure he isn’t floating on the wire.  The Ravens should get back to putting up 30 on the regular, but the margins are down to zero.  The Rams were poised to put up 40 in this one, but instead Matt Stafford had his worst game of the season and without Nacua, this offense is just mid.  Kyren Williams scored but only had 50 yards on 13 carries while Blake Corum is slowly working his way in with five carries for 23 yards.  Davante Adams wasn’t great as he tied Tyler Higbee with four grabs a piece, but he should dominate if Nacua missed any time.  You have to wonder if Stafford is slowly starting to break down after having the best start to his career through five games.

Pickup of the game – TE Isiah Likely – Priority Low unless you need a TE
