An interesting wrinkle is that we’ve got two top-3 teams in pace playing today, as the Hawks rank 3rd and the Grizzlies 1st. Meanwhile, Orland ranks dead last – in what should make this matchup very interesting playstyle-wise, and Golden State ranks 17th. The high-pace could favor the Warriors stars, as it did on their last matchup when Stephen Curry made 12 threes on his way to 52 points, to go along 10 boards and eight assists. Stephen Curry’s last game against Memphis was absolutely spectacular, culminating in 95 fpts on absurd 16 for 31 from the field and 12 for 20 from three shooting splits. The Grizzlies ended the season with a slew of stats that should benefit Curry, mainly their number one rank in pace, their 9th most threes allowed to opposing teams and over the latter part of the season, over the past 30 games, Memphis gave up the 4th most points, 3rd most rebounds, 3rd most assists and 10th most threes to opposing PGs. And on top of all of this, Curry has been extremely efficient in the month of April, when Golden State had several must win games in the tough Western Playoff picture, shooting 46/46/92 shooting splits. Stephen Curry has zero wins and three losses in his career Play-in games, but Curry scored 113 points in those three matchups combined, and all things point toward another great Steph performance.
