It’s Wednesday and we’ve got another 10 game slate – split into a main six game slate and a night four game slate! And today marks Luka Doncic’s probable return to Dallas, as the Lakers are playing against the Mavs and Luka is questionable as of now. Out of the first slate, the game with the highest O/U is the Blazers @ Jazz matchup, standing at 229.5 points. We’ve also got a great battle between the Boston Celtics and Orlando Magic, where the entire Celtics lineup is questionable after playing yesterday. And we’ve left the games with major playoff implications for last. The Heat @ Bulls matchup will help shape up the East Playoff race, as both teams share the same record, and the night slate has a plethora of games with West Playoff implications, culminating in the Rockets @ Clippers matchup for the 3rd to 8th race! The Lakers are playing in Dallas in what’s expected to be a matchup filled with emotion and with all eyes set on Luka Doncic. With that said, let’s take a look at how opposing PFs have fared against Anthony Davis and the jumbo Dallas lineup. In the past seven games, out of which Anthony Davis played in six, the Mavs are allowing the 5th most points, 5th most rebounds, 10th most assists, 3rd most threes and the 8th best fg%. And the aforementioned jumbo lineup hasn’t had great interior defense results, as they’re allowing the 5th most points in the paint to opposing teams. LeBron James has been rolling in the past six games, shooting 48% from three and 87% from the line, while mantaining his 51% season-long fg%. LeBron recent three point efficiency is in line to exploit Dallas’ recent struggles at guarding perimeter PFs and even with a bigger lineup, they’re struggling to stop opponents in the paint. In a game where Luka has his highest price-tag of the season, the King has a tremendous matchup in a game that’s must win for the Lakers in the West Playoff race.
