• Three weeks! That’s what’s left of NBA regular season basketball. And on this great Monday, we’ll be covering an eight game slate that’s split into a six game main slate and a two game night slate! The biggest O/U of the main slate belongs to the Bulls @ Nuggets game, standing at 238.5. And Bulls fans have every reason to be excited! Josh Giddey, Coby White and Matas Buzelis combined for 159.75 fpts on their last game against the Lakers! With Nikola Jokic doubtful for today, there’s a plethora of reasons to be enticed by the young Bulls! And we’ve still got LeBron James (questionable) and Luka Doncic facing off against Paolo Banchero and Franz Wagner, the 41-wins Wolves vs. the 41-wins Pacers and a Bucks @ Suns game that has tremendous implications for the Suns playoff hopes highlighting the night slate. Let’s get started!

    Nikola Vucevic

    Position: C

    Salary: $7,600

The new and exciting Bulls featuring Josh Giddey, Coby White, Matas Buzelis and company are leaving the steady force of Nikola Vucevic to operate without much noise, but he’s been producing on pair with his young colleagues. Over his last three games, Vucevic posted 42, 57 and 42.5 fpts, and he’s been red-hot over the last six – 50% from the field and 54% from three on 28 attempts. Nikola Jokic is unlikely to play today, and the Nuggets have tried the De’Andre Jordan approach and smaller lineups. The Jordan experience on their last game against the Rockets was positive, as they won, but  Alperen Sengun ended up with a 17-14-10 triple-double. Against a traditional big in Vuc, the Nuggets should continue to deploy the veteran center, as they played smaller lineups against the Blazers (no Donovan Clingan or De’Andre Ayton), Warriors and Lakers in three out of the last four games they played without the Joker. In these Jokic-less games, Denver is 22nd in defensive rating, allows the 9th best fg% and gives up the 2nd most fta. Nikola Jokic defensive importance shouldn’t be overlooked, specially when the player eager to take advantage of his presumed absence is a fellow European who has shot the ball extremely in the past few games.
