Key Storylines

Two-Game Week: The Mavs only have two games this week starting on Wednesday, meaning that fantasy managers should strongly consider moving on from every Mavs player including Naji Marshall and P.J. Washington after Wednesday in daily changes leagues, especially those with a high number of weekly moves available to them.

Haliburton Questionable: Tyrese Haliburton is listed as questionable again on Wednesday after missing Monday’s contest. Myles Turner is off the injury report and is available to play, which will push Obi Toppin back to the second unit after his 38 points outburst vs. the Wolves. Bennedict Mathurin, T.J. McConnell and Andrew Nembhard will get another “boost” should Haliburton be unable to play.
Although, Pascal Siakam is still questionable so maybe Toppin still gets some run if Siakam remains out.

Stream of the Game

While it can be risky to rely on Mavs players this week due to their negative schedule, Brandon Williams – questionable – offers intriguing upside in assists and steals as a streaming option.

Alternatives: Andrew Nembhard and Bennedict Mathurin. T.J McConnell and Kessler Edwards (deeper formats).

Key Storylines

Tough Season: Fred VanVleet has battled multiple shootings slumps this season alongside nagging injuries. It has been a tough season for the lead guard on the Rockets, with another moment happening last game, as VanVleet was ejected late for committing a flagrant foul trying to stop a layup. VanVleet did log 38 minutes on the night, but was disappointing again, scoring just three points on six shots. The scoring output has been disappointing all season long for VanVleet.

Monitor Anthony’s Status: Cole Anthony is listed as questionable on Wednesday, and should he not be able to play, it could really open the door for Cory Joseph and Anthony Black. Black is inconsistent, but with the Magic this thin in the backcourt, is worth a look at as a streaming option. Joseph has been starting in Anthony’s place.
