• It’s Monday and we’ve got a huge 12 game slate highlighted by a Denver @ OKC rematch! The slate is split into a 10 game main slate, in which the Suns @ Grizzlies and Pacers @ Bulls have the two highest O/U, standing, respectively, at 242.5 and 243.5, and a two game night slate. Today will also mark the first game that LeBron James is out due to a groin injury, giving us a chance to see what the Luka Doncic-led Lakers look like. They’re favoured by -6.5 against the Nets, so it’s still looking bright! And with Jaxson Hayes out, there will be some great C plays available for our lineups and Luka’s lobs. But the fun doesn’t stop there! The Suns and their league-worst defensive rating are fighting for a Play-in spot against the league leaders in pace, the Memphis Grizzlies! And what about the rookie Center battle between Donovan Clingan and Quentin Post? Today’s full of great matchups, and we’re all here for it!

    Ja Morant

    Position: PG

    Salary: $8,600

Over the last 10 games, the Phoenix Suns have the worst defensive rating in the league, allow the 3rd best fg%, the best 3pt%, the most 3pm and the 2nd most assists. In his last three games, all without Jaren Jackson Jr., Ja Morant is averaging 29 ppg, 6.7 apg and 3.7 rpg with a 35.9 usage rate. That’s a 4.4% increase on his season-long usage! In two games against Phoenix this season, Ja put up 44.75 and 48 fpts, but today there’s a trio of factor that will heavily benefit him that have been discussed earlier. The extra usage with no Jaren Jackson Jr., the league worst defense of the Suns anchored by Nick Richards and the incredibly high O/U related to the Memphis high pace are all points in favour of Ja Morant! The superstar PG has taken 20+ shots in his three games back from injury, and this kind of offensive game against the Suns has meant wonders lately! Still on the Grizzlies, Jaylen Wells ($4,300) should benefit from the Suns 3-point defense and looks like a great value play. On the PF/C spot, Santi Aldama’s status should be monitored closer to lock, with G.G. Jackson and Brandon Clarke drawing extra appeal if the Spanish forward is ruled out.
