Welcome to Thursday Night Pickups: Fantasy Basketball Adds for 12/26! On Boxing Day we have a nine-game slate with teams coming back after a few nights off. Who are the pickups? Read below and find out!
Standard Leagues
(<50% rostered on Yahoo)
Alexandre Sarr, F/C, WAS (45% rostered)
Tonight: 24 minutes, 15 points (6-of-11 FG, 0-of-2 FT), three rebounds, one assist, one steal, three blocks, three 3-pointers.
Analysis: I had Sarr in this column last week, yet it appears you all didn’t hear me. I’ll say it again – Sarr will be inconsistent this season, but his blocks give him enough of a fantasy floor to be rosterable in 12-team leagues. The Wizards are clearly committed to playing him and letting him explore the space, so any additional triples and other stats are welcome along with the blocks and boards.
De’Andre Hunter, F, ATL (43% rostered)
Tonight: 28 minutes, 25 points (6-of-15 FG, 10-of-10 FT), six rebounds, one steal, one block, three 3-pointers.
Analysis: I’m not really sure why Hunter is so low rostered. He looks a completely different player this season, taking a much healthier shot diet and thus helping boost his FG%. He may not provide much outside scoring, but he’s doing that plenty well enough.
