Key Storylines

Playoff games in Orlando? – The sixth-seeded Magic have won eight of their last 10 and have gained ground on the third-place Cavs and Sixers who have both played just .500 ball in their last ten games. The Knicks are also close to the Magic as they have lost seven of their last 10 games. The Magic are 21-8 in Orlando so getting homecourt advantage is going to be big in terms of setting them out to not go one round and down. The Magic play three on the road starting with this one, followed by the Wizards. If they can get these two road wins against weaker opponents, they will be set up for a ton of home action for the rest of the month.

Playoff games in Charlotte? – Haha! JK. Right now, the Hornets are waiting to see if they will get to see LaMelo Ball or Mark Williams again. With each passing game that they don’t play, the odds of them playing this year go down and down. The closer we get to the end of the year, the less sense it makes to play them. The silver lining for the Hornets has been the play of Brandon Miller and Miles Bridges. They are looking like a solid duo to play alongside Ball in the years to come.

Stream of the Game

There is a menu of options in this game. Tre Mann has calmed down, but if you need dimes and steals off the wire, you can use him, just know the percentages will hurt. If Nick Richards is out, Grant Williams played 40 minutes last game and that is juicy minutes. Davis Bertans has his 14 triples in his last four games, do with that what you wish deep leaguers. On the Magic side, Mo Wagner has been rebounding, getting steals, and his FG% has been through the roof over the last two weeks. The Hornets are depleted upfront so he can be a stream. Deep leagues need to look at Gary Harris who has done well in the last eight games he has played with good 3-and-D production.
