• Here’s some Pick ‘Em plays our team is looking at for today’s MLB slate!

    Writer’s Record: 22-16-3 (+2.25 Units)

Corey Seager OVER 8.5 Hitter Fantasy Score

Trevor Williams is on the mound for Washington, so I expect the Rangers to have a big day starting with left-handed Corey Seager. Seager is hitting .371 against right-handed pitchers and left-handed batters are hitting .303 against Trevor Williams this year.

Charlie Morton OVER 6.5 Pitcher Strikeouts

Among pitchers with over 50 innings pitched, Morton ranks 4th in CSW%. He’s going to throw strikes and wipeout pitches. His effectiveness this year has been hit and miss for Atlanta, but his ability to get strikeouts is still above average. Tampa Bay ranks 7th in the last week when it comes to striking out, averaging 10.8 Ks/game.

    Underdog Fantasy

Jose Ramirez OVER 1.5 Total Bases

Ramirez is chugging along with another solid season. He hit .330 in June and homered in yesterday’s game against Kansas City. The Guardians are in Cleveland, where J-Ram has a .309 batting average this year. Daniel Lynch is a below average starter and he will be on the mound for the Royals tonight.

    Hunter Brown OVER 6.5 Strikeouts

Seattle is tied for the second most amount of strikeouts over the last 15 days. Hunter Brown didn’t have his best start the last time out, but that came against the Rangers. Seattle should prove much more manageable for Brown, who has moved his way up in the rotation. Brown ranks 27th in strikeout percentage.

    Tournament Plays

Dylan Cease OVER 6.5 Total Ks

Cease started to look like his old self at times in June, going over this number in four out of five starts in the month. His lone July start came against the A’s, and he was less impressive. He has been a little better at home, which is where he starts today. His strikeout number is at 7.0 on Underdog and PrizePicks, so you’re getting value with it at 6.5 on Thrive.

Christian Yelich OVER 0.5 Total Hits

The 2018 NL MVP is having a resurgence right now, registering a hit in all five July contests. He has hit .320 in June, so this is not just limited to his recent contests. It’s good to see Yelich producing at a high level again. He has been crucial to this Milwaukee offense, and hopefully it continues.
