Adam Hadwin UNDER 69.5 Strokes

Hadwin is playing some good golf right now having gained with his irons in four of his past five events as well as gaining strokes with the putter six of his last eight (including all three appearances he has at the Rocket Mortgage). Hadwin also thrives on easier course setups which is certainly what we are in for this week. I expect Hadwin to get off to a strong start this week.

Justin Detry Under 69.5 Strokes

I wrote about Detry in my preview piece for this week and I am doubling down here. I am taking an aggressive stance with unders this week due to the soft weather conditions the Detroit area has gotten leading up to the event much like we saw last week. Detry has never played this event before, but I think it is one that will pair with his skillset quite nice. We have seen Detry have nuclear rounds on easier courses in the past and the stars are aligning for that to happen on Thursday.

Brian Harman UNDER 70.5 Strokes

Harman has had some ups and downs this season, but was able to find his groove enroute to a T2 at the Travelers last week. While Harman doesn’t fit the “bomber” narrative, he is deadly accurate off the tee and one of the top putters in the field. With the amount of scoring that is going to be available to players this week, I see no issues with Harman reaching two under par on the par-72 setup at Detroit Golf Club.

Max Homa OVER 3.5 Birdies

I think this is interesting buy low spot for Max. Coming off missed cuts at the U.S. Open and the Travelers, Homa returns to a course where he has seen moderate success with back-to-back top 25’s. The book on Homa is to play him at long and difficult courses, which Detroit Golf Club certainly isn’t, but Homa tends to play well at the same courses over and over. There is also not a lot of trouble to get into at Detroit GC, and a player with the talent of Homa should have no problem going over this number.
