UC Irvine @ Fresno St

Fresno St 1H -1 -110 Bet 1.1 units to win 1

This has all the makings of a defensive battle. Both teams defend inside really well and neither of them like to push the pace too much. There are 2 main factors that make me lean Fresno in this one. The first is that Fresno is at home. They’ve been really good at home and own a +12 1H winning margin. UC Irvine will definitely be their toughest competition at home thus far, but it’s still good to see past success. The second reason I like this play, is UC Irvine gets a large majority of their points inside the paint. Orlando Robinson is a beast inside for Fresno. UC Irvine shoots the ball really well from behind the line, but they don’t like to do it a lot. They also haven’t played a game in 8 days, and that was against a DII school. They haven’t played a real game in about 2 weeks. I anticipate their 3 ball to be rusty and for them to struggle inside the paint. As for Fresno, they’re just solid all around offensively outside of shooting the 3 ball. They play smart and don’t turn the ball over a ton. This seems to be a grind it out type of 1H and I see Fresno winning in the ways of 25-20.
