• Cassius Winston
    PG, Washington Wizards

The Wizards have signed the 53rd pick Cassius Winston to a two-way contract.

The Wizards acquired Winston as part of the trade sending Admiral Schofield and the rights to Vit Krejci to the Thunder. The 22-year old point guard out of Michigan State will now occupy their remaining two-way slot which makes sense since the Wizards were already full with 14 guaranteed contracts and the 15th spot expected to go to fellow rookie Deni Avdija. With the new two-way rules, Winston will be eligible to play 50 games for the Wizards which is a big difference from last year, where the player would have only been allowed to spend 45 days with the team, regardless of whether there was a game that day or not. Players will earn much more guaranteed money under the new two-way rules as well.
