Elfrid Payton

The Knicks will waive Elfrid Payton, per Shams Charania.

Payton was set to make $8 million this season and should hit the market as one of the better point guards available in a weak free agent class. Last season saw him post top-100/125 value (8/9-cat) as he rebounded from an early season injury to grab firm hold of the starting point guard job. Fantasy GMs should keep an eye on Payton's free agent saga as he could once again provide some decent value towards the end of drafts if he lands in a good situation.
