Zavier SimpsonPG, Los Angeles LakersMichigan UDFA Zavier Simpson has agreed to a free-agent deal with the Lakers, per Shams Charania.
It's likely either a two-way contract or an Exhibit 10 deal. Simpson finished third in the NCAA in assists last season, dishing out 7.9 per game, and he also shot .360 from deep, though it was the first of his four seasons where he'd been better than .308 from distance. Likely a camp body, Simpson seems destined for the G League but could improve his station given the Lakers' lack of organizational depth at the point guard position.
