Ricky RubioPG, Oklahoma City ThunderAdrian Wojnarowski reports that the Wolves will acquire Ricky Rubio and the 25th and 28th picks in the draft from the Thunder for a package that includes the No. 17 selection.
Rubio heads back to where it all began. He'll be asked to keep the offense humming next to three score-first players, which is where he's at his best anyway. The Wolves had a need for a primary playmaker while the Thunder had no need for a player on Rubio's career trajectory given their impending rebuild. We'll see what else is in the package headed to OKC as they continue to rack up future picks and assets.
