Hassan Whiteside is doubtful to play Saturday against the Clippers due to a left hip strain.

Things just keep getting worse for Hassan Whiteside. He already has seen his opportunity sliced to about 15 minutes a game in the bubble, and the Blazers have looked fantastic without him in the lineup. Jusuf Nurkic is just too good in comparison, giving everything Whiteside can offer in stature, and plenty more in terms of winning basketball. If you're desperate for a productive body you have to consider letting Whiteside go entirely at this point. It had been a hell of a ride, but we all knew Whiteside couldn't last as a first-round asset for long.
