J.J. BareaPG, Dallas MavericksJJ Barea put up 14 points, with 11 in the fourth quarter alone, during Tuesday's scrimmage finale.
Barea added two rebounds, three assists and a pair of 3-pointers in his 15 minutes and there are a couple ways to spin this. On one hand, it's good that Barea had a nice game. On the other, it might be a bad sign that he was playing crunch time in the final scrimmage while sharing the court with the very end of Dallas' roster. He's going to be fighting with Delon Wright and Trey Burke for backup minutes, but he's not looking like the frontrunner after reading tonight's tea leaves.
