Jerami GrantSF, Denver NuggetsJerami Grant is not expected to pick up his player option worth $9 million for the 2020-21 season with the Nuggets.
It's not a surprise that Grant would be looking to test free agency at this point. Over the last two seasons, he has made significant advances as a 3-pointer shooter, and that development is critical in giving Grant the offensive value to compliment his defensive chops. Despite receiving 26.2 minutes per game in a crowded Nuggets' rotation, Grant has still had a productive campaign with 11.6 points on .471 shooting from the field, along with 1.4 3-pointers, 0.8 blocks, 0.7 steals and an upward trending .744 free-throw percentage. He'll be a popular free agent target and the Nuggets will have interest if Paul Millsap does not return, but wherever Grant ends up he is going to be a standard league player at a minimum.
