JA MorantPG, Memphis GrizzliesJa Morant carried the Grizzlies to a 106-99 victory over the Wizards on Sunday, posting his first career triple-double with 27 points, 10 rebounds, 10 assists, two 3-pointers, one steal and one block.
This is likely to be the first of many triple-doubles coming Ja Morant's way over the course of his NBA career. Morant had a solid night of shooting as well with 9-of-17 FG and 7-of-9 FT, and a few more lines like this will make all of his early-season shooting woes ancient history. He made up for Dillon Brooks' ongoing slump, which featured nine points (4-of-17 FG), zero 3-pointers and three turnovers today. Stay patient with Brooks, these ugly performances come with the territory. He remains a worthwhile late-round performer.
