Robert CovingtonSF, Houston RocketsRobert Covington had a perfect debut for the Rockets, scoring 14 points on 5-of-9 shooting to go with eight rebounds, four assists, two steals, two blocks and four 3-pointers.
The world saw why GM Daryl Morey was so enamored with Covington all year now. He's a perfect fit for the Rockets micro-ball lineups as a guy who can hit the deep ball while being ultra disruptive on defense. He's easily the Rockets best set shooter and best perimeter defender. The 30 minutes were a bit lower than what owners should expect going forward as he still learns how to play with his new teammates. He hit a big pair of triples late in the game to seal the deal and should continue to see a ton of open looks from Russell Westbrook and James Harden isolation plays.
