Jusuf NurkicC, Portland Trail BlazersThough Jusuf Nurkic is expected to remain out until February (at least), he was in uniform and on the court at Thursday's shootaround.
As of last reports, Nurkic is aiming to return sometime around the All-Star break. The Blazers haven't said much about his recovery from a left leg compound fracture but we're of the impression that no news is good news. The return of Nurkic will be a massive lift for Portland, and he's someone to consider stashing away in the next few weeks if he's on waivers in your league. He's unlikely to be the type of guy that saves your season outright, but he should be able to hold at least late-round value as he gets eased back into action. Hassan Whiteside's value is at an all-time high, and he may be significantly impacted by even a limited version of Nurkic. We'd advise you to get off that train before it stops.
