We’re heading into the final weekend of June with a fresh batch of outfield reinforcements for the OF needy and those that just lost Corbin Carroll. This week’s group includes a potential 40-steal contributor, a familiar face returning from suspension, and a couple of deep-league lottery tickets who may be just one hot week away from relevancy. As always, these names are rostered in 60% or fewer of Yahoo leagues and are worth a look in 12-team formats or deeper.
Tyler O’Neill, OF, Orioles (35% Yahoo)
O’Neill is working his way back from a left shoulder impingement and is now at Double-A Norfolk as part of his rehab assignment. He went 1-for-3 on Tuesday and could be nearing activation after logging at-bats in both High-A and Double-A. It’s been a frustrating season, but O’Neill still boasts one of the highest power ceilings among waiver-wire bats. He crushed 31 home runs in just 113 games last year and offers late-season power upside for anyone in need of outfield help. Just be ready for the risk that always comes with his health.
