We’re entering the heart of the fantasy baseball season, where early-season trends solidify, and the waiver wire becomes a crucial tool for maintaining a competitive edge. This week’s landscape offers a mix of emerging talents and under-the-radar performers who could provide significant value to your roster. Let’s dive into the top waiver wire additions to consider for Week 4.
Noelvi Marte – 3B – Reds – 13% rostered (Yahoo)
Sometimes talent just needs the right opportunity to reintroduce itself. Noelvi Marte was a post-hype afterthought coming into the year, buried beneath a suspension and a miserable 2024 campaign. But he’s looked like a different player since rejoining the Reds, racking up eight hits in his last 14 at-bats with two home runs, five extra-base hits, and a seven-RBI statement in Baltimore.
More encouraging than the production is the improved process—he’s struck out just three times in 28 plate appearances and registered a 116.7 mph missile, the hardest-hit ball of his young career. With Christian Encarnacion-Strand sidelined, Marte has taken over third base and appears to be in line for everyday reps. There’s still volatility here, but the upside remains immense. If he’s still sitting on your waiver wire in a 12-teamer, fix that.
