Four weekend streamers include a pair of Friday pitchers with serious rest-of-season upside, followed by two Pirates taking on the Rockies at home.
Friday
Nolan McLean – UT/SP – NYM @ ATL – 30% rostered (Yahoo)
His MLB debut on Saturday provided as tough of a test as one could get in his first start in the show, and McLean passed with flying colors, completing 5.2 scoreless innings with eight strikeouts against the Mariners, earning the win. McLean dominated righties as expected, but really impressed with his curveball to lefties, even if the command wasn’t as sharp. This outing against Atlanta is another tough assignment, facing a team that has awoken from a season-long slumber to win eight out of their last ten, but the upside is so great for this start and long term that McLean must be added anywhere that he’s still available. If this start goes well, expect that ownership percentage to soar beyond 50%, meaning there’s every chance that this will be his last inclusion in a streamers article.
