With Week 13 in the books, we take a look back at some of the injuries from this past week. There are some that are going to have a significant impact the rest of the way so we look at the injuries and your options moving forward.
Quarterback
Trevor Lawrence – Jaguars – HeadLawrence, fresh off returning from a shoulder injury suffered a head injury in Sunday’s game against the Texans. He was taken off the field in a cart and with the Jaguars season pretty much over, it’s time to start thinking if the Jaguars may decide to sit Lawrence the rest of the way, especially as his massive contract extension begins in 2025. If Lawrence were to sit, Mac Jones would take over as the starter. He had a solid fantasy performance in relief and he has a favorable schedule the rest of the way against some weak pass defenses. He could be a great streaming option or backup option moving forward.Baker Mayfield – Buccaneers – LegMayfield hurt his lower leg on Sunday against the Panthers. He was taken into the medical tent for attention, replaced briefly by Kyle Trask but returned to action for the rest of the day in Tampa Bay’s win over the Panthers. This really comes off no more than simply a situation to monitor. Mayfield is one of the toughest players in the league and it’s unlikely he will miss any time other than maybe some practice reps throughout the week. Managers who have ridden with him all season should feel comfortable starting him again on Sunday.Want to get access to the rest of Jason’s article? You’ll need to have a FANTASYPASS membership.
